You will also be able to be involved in the Saturday events at the KVR Winterfest, a wonderful family event that highlights fun winter activities. Activities have included sledding, skiing, archery, snow sculpture, ice cave hikes, chain saw carving, wildlife talks & hikes, face painting, horse-drawn bobsled rides, snowshoe exhibit, Tri-state Malamute Club Sled Dog Race and weight pull. Bring your child and your dog and try out the Dog Sled Mutt Fun Run. Snow mountain & snow tunnel, Snow Snake Competition, Fat Tire Bike Demonstrations and more. Our neighbors at Wildcat Mountain State Park host a candlelight ski/hike/snowshoe and winter star gazing that night.

The purpose of the Winter Camping Symposium is to educate, collaborate and celebrate everything Winter!
Winter campers and enthusiasts from around the region come together to share ideas and show off new creations which aid in the adventures of winter outdoor activities. From cold camping to hot camping, from kite sailing to building your own stove, from arctic adventures to sleeping in a quinzee in the backyard, from gear swaps to a chili feed, this event covers it all!
Join us for a long weekend of camaraderie and exploration!

A laid back weekend of camping in the Northwoods with friends new & old. A low-key, laid back weekend of winter camping in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
Fantastic hiking, fatbiking and snowshoeing right out your tent door, and XC ski trails nearby. Ice fishing on the beautiful lakes surrounding the park.
We'll have a chili dump Saturday night, a tent tour, and lots of conversation. Participate as much as you choose, or make your own fun!
